Ramblings on Being a Dad

My son (our only child) turned 10 months old today. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. I was really clueless when it came to taking care of a baby, but my wife acted like she knew what she was doing right from the start. As for me, I was just faking it. Time has taught me a lot, but I’m sure I don’t know half of what it takes to raise good kids. As time progresses, I see more and more how dependent upon us he really is. Being a parent is more work than I ever imagined, but well worth all the effort. He has changed our lives in so many ways, but I wouldn’t go back to the old days without him for anything in the world. What did we do before? I’m not sure I remember. I just know that being a dad is one of the greatest blessings in my life and I thank God for our little boy. What would life be without him?
